How Covid 19 changes the way of photographing
2020 will be remembered as the year of the pandemic and for many people it is not a good thing to remember. Among the many problems that covid 19 has brought, some very serious, there is also that many couples have had to postpone the date for their “Special Day”. Many, not all. I had the pleasure of photographing some brave couples who kept the date in 2020 despite the pandemic. I want to thank them all, because love does not stop at nothing and they have given us all hope. Alexandra & Daniel also decided that nothing could stop them and in the beautiful setting of the Hotel Parco dei Principi in Sorrento, they said “I do”. For the whole duration of the shooting I had to keep a protective mask. I have been wearing the mask for a long time and by now I was used to it, it is also true that holding it to photograph is annoying. The camera tends to fog up, as does the control monitor. After a few hours, the humidity inside increases and you can even sneeze. I had two types, both of which gave problems. The camera tends to move the mask continuously and talking is not the best. I thought I had all these problems for the entire duration of the marriage, however, to my enormous surprise, after a few hours I was used to it and even taking it off made me uncomfortable. It’s amazing how we adapt to everything in order to capture every unrepeatable moment and forget about every annoyance, concentrate on the moment to shoot. Even if I wore the mask, they are still my images, what do you think?
